The origional idea was to tell 'My Story of Kirkintilloch' after being evacuated to the town during WW2, eventually staying on for 50 years.

KIRKINTILLOCH

THE ORIGIONAL HOME PAGE IN 1998. There was only 10 Pages, with My Story then came Expats Contacts, School Photos, Kirkie Bikers, Kirkie Marina, the Town Hall, The Past and now Kirkie 2010 and the Changes to the Town being made by K-I and EDC.

Discovering Old & New Kirkintilloch

The site has grown from telling that story to over 120+ pages for a number of reasons. Kirkintilloch has started to be developed and modernised. There were numerous requests from Kirkie Expats about Kirkie and other expats and friends so they had sections added which has now grown into a seperate site called 'The Kirkie C lub'. Old school photos were sent in along with very old photos of Kirkintilloch hence 'Down Memory Lane'. The Forth & Clyde Canal was reopened and the Falkirk Wheel was built. A '50s Biker section was included along with a seperate site telling of their escapades. The new section, 'Save the Town Hall' has recently been included. In esence the site tells the Past, the Present and the Future of Kirkintilloch. No doubt there will be other sections and pages. The origional story is still intact but some of the development added. Please continue and enjoy the site.
