They have all gone!
This photographic Section shows Kirkintilloch's Old Heavy Industries which thrived in the 1900s and have now all disappeared. You get the atmosphere of poor working conditions and noise. The railway has closed and there is no more barge activity on the Canal for the supply of raw material or transportation of finished goods.
